This song is about the pandemic, this current iteration of the
holiday season, and my mental space, through the lens of liminal
spaces, both physically and mentally.

A sea of fog covers my mind
Where is this, somewhere liminal?
Silhouettes billow amongst stray lights;
Flickers a thought, an echo

A dream of long days and nights;
A Christmas of white noise;
Snow on the television;
Litters my eyes, so slow

To speak, to think,
To myself, let alone anyone else,
Feels like sifting concrete
Through my teeth.

The holiest of days,
At this point,
Is to celebrate being alive,
And doing one thing,

Doing one damn thing at all

As it stood, it stood askew,
